Thanks to an abundance of powerful mental abilities and creative gifts, the JACK OF SPADES can become either a mystic, a seer and a spiritual leader, or a skilful thief. One of the main life tasks of the JACK OF SPADES is the transition from the lowest level of the Jacks' essence to the highest. The JACK OF SPADES is the absolute embodiment of both these levels. The Jack of Spades of the lowest level is a dishonest person inclined to everything bad. Such personalities use their God-given talents to fool other people and use them for their own gain, not caring in the least about the harm they cause them. Many JACKS OF SPADES act mainly on the low level of their card, and, to tell the truth, their inner essence always contains the qualities of this level, regardless of whether they prefer to show them or not. But perhaps precisely because JACKS OF SPADES are so subject to the influence of the negative sides of their card, they are also capable of the greatest transformations in their life. Among all the Jacks it is precisely the Spades who show the greatest interest in the spiritual sphere of life. On a certain level they are aware of the potential in themselves for transforming their life. Many of them go fully into this task at an early age, while others flounder on the surface, never immersing themselves completely. As always, everything is in the hands of the specific person. Every JACK OF SPADES follows their own path in life and is themselves responsible for the decisions they make. Spiritual initiation means renouncing the lower level and submitting to higher principles and convictions. These convictions may include a philosophy of honesty and directness, as well as an attentive attitude to how our actions affect other people. But all this means nothing if the spiritual philosophy is not backed by right actions. True spiritual initiation must be reflected in our deeds (deed, action — these are the key words for the whole Spade suit). An example of the JACK OF SPADES' actions may be giving up the habit of smoking or daily yoga practice. Such renunciation is part of a "way of life" — another key word for Spades. I cite yoga as an example because it is one of many things, spiritual by nature, that one can "do". In practising yoga our inner consciousness will grow, even if we do the exercises only to lose weight. So, if the JACK OF SPADES fully realises the high potential given to them in the present incarnation, they will begin to act in accordance with spiritual principles. This does not mean they are obliged to turn to spirituality as soon as possible. There are no time limits for such tasks. The very fact that a given person is a JACK OF SPADES says that they will experience all the levels of their card during their whole life. A Jack of Spades may be a thief and a liar for fifty years before a transformation happens to them; but another representative of this card may free themselves from base instincts back in childhood and from an early age lead a life based on spiritual principles. In a third variant a person with this Birth Card may waver all their life between the low level and the high. Sometimes they may even perform deeds that at once bring benefit and cause harm. I met a woman — a Jack of Spades — a professional astrologer and lawyer. She was a gifted professional, the best I had met, and undoubtedly helped many people.
