Five of Diamonds

This card meets both problems and generous gifts on its life path. Like all Fives, the Five of Diamonds hates routine and shuns everything that might limit their freedom. The Five of Diamonds may become an "eternal wanderer", staying nowhere long enough to put down roots. But other representatives of this card, on the contrary, find happiness in work or firm relationships, creating for themselves an island of stability in an unreliable world. The restlessness of Fives of Diamonds shows itself first of all in their attitude to work and personal life. All Fives of Diamonds have an inner dissatisfaction, yet at the same time they want to create something of value and achieve stability in life. These two ideals often compete in the soul of the Five of Diamonds, and it is not easy for them to find a profession that would reconcile them. Many settle on work in the sphere of trade. Thanks to this they get the chance to communicate with people on the most varied levels and usually achieve great success. At the same time financial problems lie in wait for the Five of Diamonds, and situations in which they will have to pay a high price for their kindness. The Karma Card Nine of Diamonds makes the Five of Diamonds extremely generous and indicates that they will have to pay off large debts from past incarnations. Fives of Diamonds generously share their income with relatives and close friends, although at times they may use other people, later repenting of it. Fives of Diamonds have an innate gift of spirituality, as indicated by the position of this card in the Neptune column. They understand what the true values are. Many Fives of Diamonds are endowed with special psychic talents, and their task is to apply these gifts in practice. Fives of Diamonds come into our world burdened with rather heavy karma, which cannot be worked off at once. Hard work awaits them, and there is no room for laziness here. Fives of Diamonds must carry out the tasks assigned to them without trying to run from responsibility. The strong influence of Neptune implies a wish to help other people. If the Five of Diamonds begins to work for some high goal or ideal, they will be able to create their own destiny and achieve far greater success. The first 45 years of life are especially difficult for Fives of Diamonds. But then their life circumstances improve substantially. In mid-life the Five of Diamonds may find themselves at a crossroads: they will face the need to do away with their fears once and for all. In this period many Fives of Diamonds turn to spirituality. Then they undergo a transformation, and their life changes for the better in many respects. Many of them achieve authority in one area or another (for example, as a writer or a teacher), and people turn to them in search of guidance and wise advice.

In love affairs Fives of Diamonds are restless and changeable. So it is often hard for them to keep a relationship with one partner for long. They are extremely romantic, charming and sexy, as indicated by the Jack of Clubs as their Venus Card, whose Karma Card in turn is another Jack — the Jack of Diamonds. For this reason many consider them the best of lovers. Fives of Diamonds are attracted to witty and creative partners. Fives of Diamonds themselves are very charming, but in love they often prove too calculating. Love for them is, as a rule, an intellectual game, and, immersing themselves in analysing ideas of love, they may lose sight of the value of feelings. Sometimes Fives of Diamonds prove irresponsible and immoral partners. But reading books about love always makes an enormous impression on them and helps them work out high ideals thanks to which true happiness can be achieved. The concepts of marriage and the closeness of soul that love implies often prove a difficult problem for Fives of Diamonds, but this problem they must certainly solve. Being connected with the number "five", they may not wish for themselves a marriage with one partner for life. They want to experience new adventures and gain new experience.

Freedom, or security + success?

Many Fives have an inner conflict between a thirst for freedom and a wish to achieve security and leave a noticeable mark on the world. One can simply call a Five of Diamonds and say: "Drop everything, let's go travelling!" — and they agree. This is a completely natural property of the Five of Diamonds. If you invite them on a trip, they really will drop everything and set off with you wherever the road leads. In the second half of life, looking at the achievements of other people, many Fives of Diamonds begin to realise that they have still done nothing substantial in life, and they begin to come into conflict with friends who have achieved success. I do not at all mean to say that such an inner conflict is characteristic of all Fives of Diamonds without exception, but it is a frequent problem for them. Every Five faces the question: "Should I devote my life to seeking new adventures and exploring everything new and unknown — or should I strive for stability and security, sacrificing adventure?" Curiously, many people identify freedom with money. They say that money in itself does not bring happiness, but gives the freedom to do anything and opens many opportunities that are closed to a poor person. If this is true, then fate has played a cruel joke on the Five of Diamonds: to get in full the freedom they so desire, a person with this Birth Card needs to devote part of their life to one pursuit that in time will bring them enough money for new travels and adventures. Perhaps this is one of the main lessons for Fives of Diamonds. They must say to themselves: "I will gain more freedom and be able to live through far more exciting adventures if I spend part of the time allotted to me on creating the financial well-being that will open the way to freedom for me." The trouble, however, is that carrying out this intention is, as a rule, extremely hard for the Five of Diamonds. So many of them settle on work in the sphere of trade, which often provides individual freedom to travel. In this way they kill two birds with one stone: they gradually create financial independence for themselves without losing the possibility of variety in life. For Fives of Diamonds this is the formula for success and the key to happiness.
